The Bible does not minimize sexual sin. Jesus warned about the seriousness of lust (Matthew 5:28), and Scripture repeatedly calls us to purity and self-control. But the Bible also points us to God’s abundant mercy, forgiveness, and transforming grace. If you have sinned, confess it to the Lord, receive His forgiveness, get back up, and continue pursuing holiness. Don’t allow shame or discouragement to convince you to give up.
Victory will usually require more than good intentions. It may mean removing easy access to pornography, installing accountability software, changing habits and routines, avoiding situations that trigger temptation, filling your mind with Scripture, and bringing the struggle into the light with a trusted Christian friend, pastor, or accountability partner.
